Blue Cheese Caramelized Pecan Salad
Caramelized Pecans Blue Cheese Salad
Ingredients
- 1 package Baby lettuces
- 1 just ripe Avocado Not over ripe
- 1 small ripe tomato
- 1/2 pkg Fresh Blue Cheese-not pre-crumbled
- 1 bottle Brianna's Poppyseed dressing Or make your own
- 1 cup Pecan halves
- 2 TBS Butter
- 3 TBS Sugar or to desired consistency
Instructions

Melt butter on low heat in a skillet

Add granulated sugar a little at a time until it is just a little thick

Add pecan halves then stir and watch carefully as it is a fine line between caramelized and burned!
Essembling the Salad

Put the baby greens in a bowl

Add sliced or chopped tomato
-
Add the chopped avocado
-
Crumble the fresh blue cheese into the bowl

Sprinkle the pecans on top

Serve with the poppyseed dressing
