Blue Cheese Caramelized Pecan Salad

Caramelized Pecans Blue Cheese Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 package Baby lettuces
  • 1 just ripe Avocado Not over ripe
  • 1 small ripe tomato
  • 1/2 pkg Fresh Blue Cheese-not pre-crumbled
  • 1 bottle Brianna's Poppyseed dressing Or make your own
  • 1 cup Pecan halves
  • 2 TBS Butter
  • 3 TBS Sugar or to desired consistency

Instructions

  1. Melt butter on low heat in a skillet

  2. Add granulated sugar a little at a time until it is just a little thick

  3. Add pecan halves then stir and watch carefully as it is a fine line between caramelized and burned!

Essembling the Salad

  1. Put the baby greens in a bowl

  2. Add sliced or chopped tomato

  3. Add the chopped avocado

  4. Crumble the fresh blue cheese into the bowl

  5. Sprinkle the pecans on top

  6. Serve with the poppyseed dressing
